Brandon Figarella
I spent eight years as a musician watching the industry extract value from artists while giving almost nothing back. Licensing platforms that took 30% cuts. Discovery algorithms that buried independent work. Payout systems designed to delay. So I built WavHaven — not as a portfolio project, but because I needed it to exist. That's how I work. I find the friction, understand why it's there, and build the thing that removes it. Bastion came from seeing enterprise EDR pricing lock out schools and clinics who needed it most. OmniDex came from managing 1,318 game assets by hand across a six-person team. Loom came from needing non-programmers to author game logic without touching code. I'm currently at UC Santa Cruz studying Creative Technologies (3.93 GPA, because I'm unreasonably competitive with myself). I write Rust when I need performance, TypeScript when I need speed, and Unreal Blueprint when the artists are watching.
